My Road To Breaking 80
Well the quest has started for me this Summer, this is the year that I finally break 80. I have gotten myself into the best shape of my golfing life by losing 25 pounds. I will write about this in a later blog. I have started to stretch for golf daily with the stretches found on this site here: Golf Stretches
The second thing I did was purchase the Pure Point Golf System
The Pure Point Golf System has so far only helped me on paper, I have just purchased it last week and read through all the content but have not had much time to put the lessons to use. I will be writing with weekly updates of my progress. The writing is easy to follow and the content is easy to understand. I feel like I already understand the golf swing better and can't wait to put it into practice.
The third thing that I did was buy myself a present, new errr well new to me irons from Callaway. I purchased the x-20 irons off the Used Callaway Clubs Site. I am so happy with these irons, I have been hitting them farther and cleaner than I have ever hit an iron. I can't wait to try my new lessons with these irons. I do have to get used to the distances that I am getting with these babies, I flew a couple greens my first time out with these.
Right now I am pretty consistent at shooting about 90 at my home course, I plan on taking ten strokes off my game consistently by the end of the summer. I will be posting updates as often as I can concerning my golf workouts which have been improving my flexibility, power and weight, my golf practice rounds putting the Pure Point Golf system to the test and finally a long term review on my new golf equipment the Callaway x-20 irons
