Fisher and Larrazabal to head to Ohio
European Tour Members Ross Fisher of England and Pablo Larrazabal of Spain have both qualified for the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational after their respective successes at The European Open and the Open de France ALSTOM.
Larrazabal will tee up at Firestone Country Club in Ohio, America, as a reward for his maiden European Tour success at Le Golf National in Paris, France, where he held off the challenge of Colin Montgomerie to triumph by four shots.
Fisher will join Larrazabal in Ohio from July 31-August 3 after the Englishman’s seven-stroke victory at last week’s European Open guaranteed his entry to the $8million event.
Fisher saw off a resurgent Sergio Garcia of Spain, who will also compete at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational courtesy of his win at The Players Championship on the US PGA Tour in May.
