Former Longhorn Matthew Rosenfeld of Plano tied for the abbreviated first-round lead Thursday at the inaugural Onion Creek Classic.

Rosenfeld, who won the Big 12 championship as a senior at Texas in 2006, shot a 6-under-par 64 at the 6,351-yard Onion Creek Club. He shared the lead of the rain-shortened opening round with Ryan Brehm of East Lansing, Mich.

Contestants in the field of 168 who didn't finish will continue their rounds at 8 a.m. today. The second round of the Hooters Tour tournament will begin at 11 a.m.
