LPGASetting up for the 63rd U.S. Women's Open. The USGA is hosting the 63rd U.S. Women's Open at Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minn., this week—a state is one of only two in the nation to host all 13 USGA Championships (California is the second). Set up to play as a par 73 6,789-yard trek, the course is the longest in U.S. Women's Open history and the second longest on the 2008 LPGA Tour schedule. Only the MasterCard Classic Honoring Alejo Peralta Presented by Nextel, which measured 6,911 yards, has been longer.

Oh, Hurst stake out top of leaderboard. Second-year Tour member Ji Young Oh and five-time Tour winner Pat Hurst are tied at 6-under-par 67 to lead the field of 156 at the U.S. Women's Open. Oh (33-34) tied her career low 67 in the opening round thanks to seven birdies and just one bogey on the par-3 178-yard fourth hole. With Interlachen Country Club set up as a par 73, her 67 was 6-under with relation to par.
